As part of our commitment to rapid and accurate diagnostics, we have a full suite of laboratory facilities at our disposal, all at the Practice.
- Diagnostic microscope, which is used to exam ear, skin, urine and blood samples amongst others
- Haematology and biochemistry tests (blood tests) can also be performed and analysed in-house providing very rapid results. In some cases we can provide a full set of blood biochemistry and electrolyte results in 15 minutes!
- Centrifuge – for performing urine analyses and certain blood tests such as measuring anaemia levels.
We also use the services of external laboratories for many other tests that require specialist equipment. Our samples often find their way to the USA and we recently had some samples sent to South Africa for analysis.
